Nutriana is a company that claims to be committed to manufacturing the best products so that people can live their best lives. Nutriana makes further claims with their electrolyte powder to strengthen your body, replenish electrolytes, help muscle recovery and restore energy. We were interested in analyzing this formula to see which ingredients this manufacturer did include in order to achieve these goals. 

The electrolytes included in this product are Magnesium, Calcium, Potassium, Sodium and Chloride. While these are 5 important electrolytes, there is one missing which is Phosphorus. We like that this product is free of sugar and artificial ingredients. We also like that ConcenTrace^® is included in order to ensure a strong amount of trace minerals which are crucial for the body’s function. However, we are disappointed at the lack of Amino Acids in this formula. We were also disappointed to see the omission of Coconut Water Powder and BioPerine, both of which help the absorption of electrolytes into the body.

Unfortunately, we felt that they were simply lacking some key ingredients that are backed by scientific research and their formula did not have many positive reviews that we were able to find. The price of this product is attractive to many consumers, however, upon reading customer reviews, we saw that many people were disappointed in the taste. We were surprised to see that there is only a 30-day return policy on damaged products and even then, it is only for defective or different products than were ordered. Vega Sport Hydrator contains Sodium, Potassium, Calcium, and Magnesium which they claim will help you restore your electrolyte balance so that you can stay focused on your performance. These are wonderful claims but we wondered how likely they were to actually come true, especially because the whole basis of this formula seemed to be missing some key electrolytes – Chloride and Phosphorus. When an electrolyte powder only contains 4 out of 6 electrolytes, there is some doubt as to its efficacy.

It seems that what is not contained in this product is superior than to what it actually found inside. For example, this powder is gluten-free, sugar-free, free of artificial flavors and sweeteners and non-GMO verified. All of these are excellent, especially if you are on a ketogenic diet and are wary of many sugar-filled sports drinks. This product does contain Coconut Water Powder which is known for its extensive hydrating properties. Besides from that, it is missing a whole host of ingredients that we look for in an electrolyte powder. For example, there are no trace minerals, no Amino Acids and no ingredient to boost absorption. When so many other brands do contain these ingredients, it leaves us wondering why this brand does not. Perhaps the manufacturer is relying on consumers who don’t compare labels or don’t do their own research? 

Reading the customer reviews on Vega Sport Hydrator’s website gave us further insight into this product. While we read many positive reviews, the negative reviews stuck out in our heads more prominently. The number one complaint was that Vega Sport Hydrator changed their formula to a less effective, less tasty one. With a lower amount of electrolytes and a powder that clumps and won’t dissolve properly, many consumers did not have favorable things to say about this product. Still, if you are interested in trying this powder, be aware that there is only 30 days in which to file a return. Additionally, returns do not apply when purchased on final sale or on promotion.
